Unit 3: Childhood
By the end of this unit, students will be able to:
- Summarize through writing physical development in childhood.
- Evaluate cognitive development in childhood.
- Analyze personality development in childhood.
- Differentiate intellectual development during childhood through assigned readings.
In this unit, we will be studying childhood development. In addition to the six readings in this unit, I recommend the following videos and websites to get you started on our topic.
Please start the unit by watching “By Leaps and Bounds” from The Whole Child video series, which give you an overview of physical development in childhood. The “Getting Along Together” video will discuss childhood social development.
